Abstract
The article discusses the theoretical arguments for and against combining qualitative and quantitative approaches in the study of generations. Analyzed various research concepts underlying the combination of these methods. In the final part the author gives examples of coordinated use of quality governmental and quantitative strategies in an empirical study.
