Abstract
The center for sociological education (SSC) was created at the Institute of sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1995 for the implementation of educational program EC Tempus/Tacis in the field of sociology, whose purpose - training and re-training of young scientists in the basic industries of sociological knowledge, as well as strengthening ties between academic science and the higher education system. The program included intensive courses in the major sociological disciplines for young sociologists and researchers from the regions of Russia and creation on this basis, an informal nationwide network of professional relationships of young sociologists. As a result, the CSO has established strong relationships with leading faculties and departments of sociology of the Russian universities, to support the program of development of sociological education, and identified the most promising as a potential regional sociological centers.
